Chandra Choodeswarar Temple Hosur is a very old and important temple of the region.
There is a a bit of history around this beautiful temple. Built by Thirupuvanamalla Barvatharaja Anthiyazhvar who belonged to Hoysala Dynasty, this temple is around 700 years old.
The temple is dedicated to lord Shiva who is called Shri Choodeswarar and Goddess Parvati, also called as Goddess Maragadambal.

The temple is in Hosur. You can have your breakfast at home or on the way. There is A2B and a couple of good restraunts just after the Hosur toll gate. Please note that the temple open timings are from 6.30 AM to 1.00 PM and then from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. So you can plan the way you want. But it will take around 1 hour and 30 mins to reach, unless you live somewhere near Electronics city or Sarjapura. |
