You will be travelling towards Neelamangala and then you will reach Dobbaspete. Do not cross the flyover. Take the service road before the flyover. when you take right turn at the junction, you will find 2 routes. one at 45 degress (SH 3) and one at 90 degrees ( NH 648 ) . But take the one which is at 45 degrees (SH3). So just follow the maps. Around 20 to 25 mins on this road you will see Janapriya family resturant. So there are 2 temple one at the base of hill and one at top. Our recommendation is to visit the one at top first and then come down, visit the temple at foot hills and other spots. So there are two things to visit first 1)View point 2) Shri Yoga Lakshmi Narashimha temple When you start climbing the hills you need to take ticket at the start. It is around 20 rs. Then keep driving. Once you start seeing the temple, slow down. You will see few cars parked on the main road. If you take the bifurcation you will reach temple parking. But drive straight. You will reach a dead end and you will also see a govt building. Just before that you will find some place to park the car. This is the view point. You get to see some amazing views and it is nice location for some cool photography. Then come back and drive to temple parking. From parking you need to climb some 150 steps and you will reach the temple. It is a very old, and important temple of region. To know more about the temle click here. ||
Day-1/Step-7 | 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM | Explore Deer Park and Namada Chulume |
Both the locations are in same premises. Deer Park comes first. You will get to see Deers from very near. You can actually feed them. Kids will love it a lot. These are special Spotted Deers. You can spend some good 30 to 40 mins and then you can walk down to Namada Chulume. Then you can walk down to Namada Chulume. Its a 5 mins walk from the Deer Park. This is a very sacred perinial spring and its relalted to Lord Rama. It is said that Lord Rama visited this place during Vanvasa (exile). Lord Rama searched for water to apply tilaka to his forehead. When he could not find any water, he shot an arrow at the rock. The arrow penetrated the rock, made a hole, and the water came out. Henceforth, this place was called Namada Chilume, meaning "Spring of Tilak". (naama = tilak and chilume' = spring, in Kannada). So this natural spring is of great religious importance. |
