Lazy weekend ahead? Explore Devanhalli - Quick one day trip from Bangalore

Devanhalli, a small sleepy town near Bangalore is now a hub of activities due to Bangalore International Airport now being located here.

This small and once sleepy town is around 30 kms from Hebbal and has some good picnic options

So this is a one day itinerary for guys living in Bangalore.

Leave home by 9.00 AM. Where ever you stay in Bangalore, it will not take more than one and half hours to travel to our first destination that is Shri Nakoda Avati 108 Parshwanth Jain Temple.

You can have your breakfast at home or can plan to have it on the way to Devanahalli. There are lots of options on NH75.

Day-1/Step-2 10.30 AM to 11.15 AM Visit Shri Nakoda Avati 108 Parshwanth Jain Temple

you will need 30mins to 45 mins to visit the temple. It is a beautiful temple which you will generally see when you are crossing devanahalli. So this time, plan to visit it.

Day-1/Step-3 11.15 AM to 11.30 AM Drive to Devanahalli Fort

From the temple Devanahalli fort is hardly 2 Kms and you will not need more than 10 mins to reach the fort.

There are ample parking in the front of the fort and you can park your vehicle there.

You will see vehicles going inside the fort area, but I suggest that you park you car outside the fort.

Day-1/Step-4 11.30 AM to 12.30 PM Explore Devanahalli Fort

Devanahalli fort is a small but ancient fort. Tipu Sultans birth place is at this place. There is a small area marked as Tipu Sultans birth place. You can visit that place.

You can visit the fort over all. Dont plan the fort visit during afternoons as it gets hot and is difficult to walk.

You can the plan to visit Shri Venugopal Swamy temple which is in the fort premises.

Day-1/Step-5 12.30 PM to 2.00 PM Lunch and Travel to Shri Bhoganandeeshwara Temple

You will not take more than 1 hour to explore the Devanahalli fort area. Once done you can plan to visit Shri Bhoganandeeshwara temple.
The temple is at the foothills of Nandi Hills. It is around 18 Kms from Devanhalli fort and will take around 30 mins to reach.

Plan to have you lunch before that. There are lot of good food options on NH75 and have your lunch before visiting the temple.

Day-1/Step-6 2.00 PM to 3.00 PM Visit Shri Bhoganandeeshwara temple

It is a very old temple and very important temple of the region.
It is a very big temple and there is a big Kalyani with in the temple premises.
Spend some one hour there and then you can travel to Nandi Hills viee point and Shri Yoganandeshwara temple.

Day-1/Step-7 3.00 PM to 3.30 PM Travel to Nandi Hills View point and Shri Yoga Nandeeshwara temple

So Shri Yoganandeeshwara temple is at the top of the hill and next to Nandi hills view point.

Day-1/Step-8 3.30 PM to 5.30 PM Visit Shri Yohanandeeshwara temple and explore Nandi Hiils

Nandi hills view point is a nice place to spend your evening. Shri Yoganandeeswara temple is next to the view point.
Visit the temple and then you have some good time to explore the Nandi Hills area.

The Nandi hills view point is amazing.

There are lots of places there for kids to have some good fun! they are definitely going to like it.

Sunrise and Sunsets from Nandi hills are an amazing view.

You can spend some good 2 to 3 hours there and then you can head back home!

Day-1/Step-9 5.30 PM to 7.30 PM Drive Back home

Evenings you will find some traffic. hence it migh take 2 to 3 hours to reach back home!
