Itinerary Details

Day / Step Time Slot Activity
Day-1/Step-1 7.00 AM to 8.00 AM Travel to Shri Vishwaroopa Vijaya Vittala temple
So our suggestion is to start by 7.00 AM.
If you can start early, it is better. The first destination is to reach Shri Vishwaroopa Vijaya Vittala temple first. Spend some time there and then have breakfast and the leave for Mahimapura hills.
You can also do Mahimapura hills first, but I recommend going there after visiting shri Vishwaroopa Vijaya Vittala temple as the temple closes by 1.00 PM and then reopens only by 4.00 PM. So you have to wait till 4.00 PM in case you missed the time.
If you leave home by 7.00 AM you will definitely reach there by 8.00 AM.
You can take NICE road and exit on Tumkur raod or you can take outer ring road and the from Yeshwant pur to Peenya to Neelmangama is the route you should take.

Day-1/Step-2 8.00 AM to 9.00 AM Visit Shri Vishwaroopa Vijaya Vittala temple
There is ample parking. Park you vehicle and explore the temple complex. You can spend some good 1 hour here. What to see: 1) 12 feet Vijaya Vittala idol in granite
2) Gita Mandira - Lord Vishnu in Vishwaroopam Avatar
Gita Mandir is built as a chariot which is pulled by 5 horses. The temple has a massive idol of Lord Vishnu in Vishwaroopam Avatar.
All the verses of Bhagwad Gita is inscribed on the granite slabs in the walls of the temple.
You can spend some time there. 1 hour is good to explore the temple.

Day-1/Step-3 9.00 AM to 9.16 AM Drive to Paakshala for a nice breakfast
There are many resturant along the highway where you can have some nice breakfast. Our recommendation is Paakshala. It is a good resturant which you can try.
Day-1/Step-4 9.15 AM to 10.00 AM Breakfast
Have a nice breakfast.

In case you wish you use toilets, you can use the facility here as there are no options on the mahimapur hills. Remember after that you will be reaching Mahimapur Hills and hence can be a challange.

Day-1/Step-5 10.00 AM to 10.30 AM Drive to Mahimapura Hills
The drive from Paakshala to hills is not more than 12 KMs and hence you will probably take 20 mins to 3o mins to reach.
Day-1/Step-6 10.30 AM to 11.00 AM Climb to Mahimapura temple
So you park your car at the base of the hills and then you have to climb around 300 steps to reach the top.
At the base of the hill is Shri Anjenaya temple and then you have to climb the 300 steps and at the top of the hill is shri Ranganathaswamy temple

Day-1/Step-7 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM Explore Ranganathaswamy
The temple at the top of hill is Shri Ranganatha swamy.
At Mahima hiils , Shri Mahima Ranganathaswamy, Lord Vishnu has appeared in the form of a round-shaped small stone resembling a Saligrama, which is unique.
The temple is ancient and is a very important temple of the region.
The temple appears to be a Hoysala structure with beautifully carved stone pillars on the mukhamantapa. The idols of Lord Vishnu are carved on it.
The temple has been renovated recently
From the top of the hills other major hills of the area is visible and the scenery around is breathtaking.

Day-1/Step-8 1.00 PM to 4.00 PM Lunch and Drive back to Bangalore
After spending some good 2 hours there, you can drive back home. As we have mentioned before, there are lot of food options on the highway so have a nice lunch and the drive back home !
