Day-1/Step-1 | 9.00 AM to 10.00 AM | Start and have breakfast on the way |
Start by 9.00 AM. Since you are going to cover only one spot, 9.00 AM or a bit late is also ok So depending on where you live in Bangalore, you will either take Kanakpura route or Bidadi route. Kanapura route is preferable. If you are going via kanakpura, stop after Sri Sri Ravishankar ashram for breakfast. There are many good options. If going via Bidadi, stop for breakfast near Bidadi. Lot of good options. |

Day-1/Step-2 | 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM | Drive towards Chunchi Falls |
After nice breakfast, drive towards chunchi falls. There is ample parking. There is a checkpost before chunchi falls and they charge Rs30 and then you have to pay Rs30 at parking. So total Rs 60 From parking you need to walk for almost half a km to reach near falls. The last 200 ms of walk is a bit difficult and its deep down to the falls and again climbing up can be challenge. Specially for old people. |

Day-1/Step-3 | 11.00 AM to 2.00 PM | Explore Chunchi Falls |
Remember it is a no plastic zone .. so dispose all plastic cover bottle etc in the box provided at those shops only. Once you reach at the spot from where you can view the falls, the view is just amazing. You can hear the roar of water falling down and the rock bed, if you look down, you will find it in rainbow color. It’s just amazing. Whole area is a good trekking spot. You will find families having picnic fun. You can also make lunch from home, come here here and spend some quality time. ------------------------------------- One important point to note is that, there are no toilets around and this can be a challange for some. So in case you have the need to use toilets try using the toilets on petrol pumps before you reach the falls. |

Day-1/Step-4 | 2.30 PM to 5.00 PM | Drive back home |
Drive back home. Drive safe ! During evening there will be some rush so it will take a bit more time. While returning back before you enter bangalore have some nice snacks! Have a good weekend! -------------------------------------------- As I have mentioned before you can actually club your trip with 2 more places near by .. i.e Sangama and Mekadatu but the it will not be a lazy weekend. You would need to start a bit early from Bangalore and spend less time at the spots. |
